For a pioneering and fast-growing company in the European space sector, we are currently seeking an experienced Contracts Officer (m/f/d) with deep industry insight and a strong legal and strategic mindset. The Position

As a Contracts Officer (m/f/d), you will oversee the full contract lifecycle – from drafting tender documents and evaluating offers to negotiating terms and ensuring smooth execution. You will liaise closely with internal stakeholders and industry partners, resolve legal and contractual challenges, and serve as the go-to advisor for all procurement-related questions. Your work will directly impact the strategic positioning and operational success of the company’s ambitious technology programs.

Your Qualifications

You bring over 10 years of hands-on experience in contract management within the European space industry, ideally with a solid understanding of ESA’s legal framework, procurement regulations and industry ecosystem. You are well-versed in cost structures, financial processes and public procurement law within at least one ESA Member State. Fluency in both English and German is essential; a legal or business-related academic background will be considered an asset, as will expertise in ITAR and dual-use regulations. Most importantly, you are a strong communicator who enjoys collaboration and brings a pragmatic approach to complex legal and administrative challenges.
